Write about an Event That Makes You Angry. Give reasons why the event makes you feel this way.

Image
Based on the novel Dear Mr. Kilmer written by Anne Schraff, an event that makes me angry is when students bullies Hannah Schermer in school. I was furious about that event for three reasons.     One of the main reasons I was angry about that is because Hannah Schermer was called as a Dirty Hun by the students, mainly Abner, Harry and Blanche. They dislike Hannah just because she was born German but lives in America. I was mad when they said things about Hannah because they treat her like an outcast even though she's living in the same country as them. It is seen as a childish act to pick on someone just because their ethnicity is different from theirs.     Besides that, when Hannah was absent in school, the students didn't bother to sign the card. Richard is the only one who signs the card despite being threatened by other students. I was mad at this part because they are trying to make Hannah someone who doesn't deserve to be there. Thei...

What I Learned from My Classmates and My ULBS Presentations

Image
ULBS.......     It has come again.     At least this is the last time I will see you.     Welcome back everyone and I am here to present about what I had learned from my awesome classmates' presentation for ULBS and also my own presentation. Without further ado, let's get it started ha! *if you know this reference I love you*     This year, for ULBS, our class teacher decides to make it 'fun' and 'different' than usual. This year, our ULBS focuses on our form 5 Literature. Everyone is team up into pairs and has to present different questions for "Dear Mr. Kilmer" that came out in SPM. Derrick and I got the 2008 question and we made our research before presenting it.     During the ULBS presentation week, each of us are supposed to present it and two groups are the main panels to judge them. Other students are required to comment about the other groups' answers. Our teacher also gave comments mainly for the a...

Free Topic - What I Love or Abhor about It

Image
Free Topic... do you like it? A: Yes. B: No. C: Maybe D: All of the above E: None     Hello everyone! I am back with another blog for today and as you can see, today's topic is kind of different than the usual because today we're going to talk about free topic. Yes, free topics.     Speaking of free topics, I like it and at the same time, I don't really like it. Well, I have my reasons on why I love free topics and the reasons I abhor about it. You could say I'm in the middle which I was like okay with it and sometimes, not really okay with it. I'm just like that. I'm fine with it but at certain times, I don't even want to think about free topics.     Why I love free topics? One of the reasons I love free topics is that I could talk about what I want to talk about without a prompt given. Everything that I want to talk about is typed without thinking of it as your mind has already prepare a prompt for the week. Writing free...

Thesaurus Quiz

Image
Hello guys! Today, I am going to talk about something that could be considered as 'interesting' because why not, right? Our teacher assigned my class to try out this  How Strong is Your Vocabulary?  and I decided to give it a shot.     At my first attempt, I managed to get 1/10 (this is really embarrassing but the fun part is that I know there are other words to represent the words that I know)     The words for the first round are quite hard because my vocabulary is six feet under. I am honestly very terrible with it but you know, when you make mistakes, you will learn from them and correct it.     So, this is my second attempt:     As you could see, I started to progress slowly and by the way, the words keep changing so I didn't expect the same words will appear. If so, it will be a very slim chance.     My third attempt of the quiz:     I started to get the hang of it and I...

My Experience Being in a Class Play

Image
DRAMA!!! LET'S GO!     I am back again and today, I am going to talk about my experience being in a class play. (You can see how straightforward I am which is out of the norm because... don't need to know about it.)     Drama competition... I have no words for it. Well, it was a good experience being in the class play. A bit rocky and bumpy roads on the go, but we still made it until the end. I was confident that our class will do great and honestly, I don't care if we win or not because the main thing is that we have fun together as a team. Well... for the past few weeks of preparing the drama, we got ourselves trapped into conflict about the script and it was pretty bad I could admit it myself.     During the day itself, I was stunned and feel a little envy of other classes' presentations. Their ideas were so cool and fantastic and that time made me think... will our class do as good as theirs? I rarely made any doubts during competition d...

How I'm going to Utilise My English Period on Monday, 25 February 2019

Image
A good day to you and I'm back with another blog. I notice that basically almost everyone hates Mondays. Well, that includes me myself. I really don't like Mondays the most as you have arrive early and go to the hall for the assembly. Not only that, you have to listen to every teachers' speech one by one. I could've been falling asleep during that 30 minutes which sometimes could take up for an hour. We're not going to talk about Mondays, obviously, even though the blog has the word MONDAY  in it. Let's go!     February 25th 2019; a few days before inter-class drama competition held by SMKDJ. Everyone, almost everyone to be exact, stayed back for drama practice as we kind of lack of practice since we got some internal issues about the casts and the script itself. Don't worry, I won't procrastinate about that anyway. So, the practice actually went smoother than before and everyone knows how to play their roles well. Me? I'm just a minor chara...

Malaysia is a Multicultural Country. Describe a Festival You Celebrate in Malaysia.

Ladies and gentlemen! I bring you marvelous illusions to make your night shine! Get ready for today's miracle under the moonlight!   "Cut! Cut! Cut! This is not even a drama and you already act like this is a new remake of Kaito Kid again, huh?"   "It isn't?"   "Take this script and present your blog. Quickly! Ten minutes only. Chop chop!"

Discuss the Plurality of the Malaysian Society and its Effects on You

Image
Malaysia; one of the countries in the whole world that has a plurality in its nation. Malays, Chinese, Indians, Kadazans, Ibanese; we are all Malaysians. Islam, Christian, Buddhist, Hindus; we are still Malaysians. Malaysia is a country where you can find a variety of people with different backgrounds and not everyone shares the same traits as us. The uniqueness of Malaysia is what attracts the whole world into the country.     The plurality of the Malaysian society has affected me in several ways. One of the ways it has affected me is by language. When I was young, I only know how to speak Malay and English. When I came to kindergarten and proceed with elementary school, actually until now, I started to speak a bit of Mandarin, Cantonese and also very little Hindi. I was attracted by the beauty of the languages spoken by the citizens of Malaysia and it makes me elated when I get to understand a bit of what they are talking about. Not to mention, I also know...

Free Topic: 16 Personalities with My Amino Friends

Image
It was a casual day of the weekend when you and your friends start to about this...     Hello again my readers! Today, I finally get a free topic! The whole class gets a free topic and this is what I don't really like it. I don't know what to write! I thought for days and one day (which is today), my Amino friends and I were talking about personalities. Initially, it is to help a sweetheart named Lu for her edit and that's how this comes in.     So, before we actually got into this 16 personalities test, we were initially suggesting to Lu that she should match with her zodiac sign. As the conversation goes on and Lu started mentioning about her personality. So, she was an ENTJ, which is the 'Commander' personality. She is indeed a good leader in the editing squad on NCT Amino.     Ki, my friend, nearly made all of us surprised when she said she was INTP, which is the 'Logician' personality. She actually mistyped it and we got very high faith ...

My Impression of Dear Mr. Kilmer

Image
What's my impression on Dear Mr. Kilmer?     Hello! I am back with another blog just for you today! Woo hoo hoo this needs some music. Cue! Woah I am just joking only. Seriously, don't ever cue the music. Today, your author is a little tipsy today because even I also don't know why I am addled today. Well, scratch that. Let's get this started!     Today, I am going to talk about my impression of the story called Dear Mr. Kilmer. What is the story about? Well, to summarize it for you, the story is about Richard Knight, a farm boy who is inspired to be a poet after reading Joyce Kilmer's poetry. A student named Hannah is being shunned by the classmates just because she came from a German background and that's how it begins.     Initially, I assumed that this story might going to be exactly the same as the novel in Form 4 in Malay Language that is related to all those World War II, etc. But that proves me wrong. When I started reading the book,...

The Unlucky Adventures with Me: The Monster in the Book

Image
Ping.. My mobile phone lit up with a message from Pn. Monica and it was past midnight. I woke up from my sleep and sat on my king-sized bed before I rubbed my eyes with my fists. I looked around and quietly got off from the bed before walking to my study table. I turned on my phone and turned off the switch before unplugged my phone charger. I unlocked my phone with my thumbprint and clicked on the message to see what Pn. Monica had sent to me. Pn. M: I need to ask you something.     'Is it something important?' I questioned myself, 'I think it is but she could had asked me at school? Perhaps something bad happened. I don't know but I should answer fast since teacher's still online.' Me: Ask about what, teacher? Pn. M: Did you somehow borrowed a book at the library yesterday?     'What is this? Teacher messaged me just to ask about that? Really? Out of everything else? Gosh I was worried for a second!' I mentally slapped myself for o...

Image
It's the year of 2019! New year, new life begins now!     Hello fellow readers! It's your amazing, cool and over  confident author, Ashikin, and I am here with a new blog! This year has been indeed a buzzing year for me so I rarely update on blog writing (if you're on Amino you can see me there as well since I also write blogs there but you have to be good at finding me). So, what are you guys waiting for? Ready, set, go!     Today, I will divide my blog into two different compartments which are my aspirations for the year 2019 and also how should I achieve them. This year is really an important year for me because it is my final year so that is why I am going to do everything as much and perfect as possible!     Before I start, what is aspiration? Why do you need aspiration? Does it matter if you don't have an aspiration? Aspiration a hope or ambition on achieving something [medical] the action or process of drawing breath [p...
