Malaysia is a Multicultural Country. Describe a Festival You Celebrate in Malaysia.
"Cut! Cut! Cut! This is not even a drama and you already act like this is a new remake of Kaito Kid again, huh?"
"It isn't?"
"Take this script and present your blog. Quickly! Ten minutes only. Chop chop!"
A very good day to everyone who decides to come and read my blog for the day. I am back after a while and now, ladies and gents, I am here to present:
Festivals in Malaysia, A Multicultural Country in the World
Every year, Malaysia has more than ten holidays celebrated in the country thanks to the rich culture preserved by the nation. Malaysia is one of the very few countries that is multicultural in the world. We should be thankful that our country is a diverse country which is one of the important elements to attract foreigners to come and have a blast here.
Last year, I said that I celebrated Chinese New Year in my first earlier blogs. This year, I am going to talk about a festival that I personally celebrate it every year and you could say that I am quite excited for it. It is no other than... Hari Raya Aidilfitri. This festival is celebrated annually after a month of fasting during Ramadan. Speaking of Ramadan, we have a few more days (well according to when this blog is written obviously) before Ramadan begins again. Let's go to the main point of this blog.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a festival which symbolises the victory for fasting and controlling ourselves from doing something that is against the rules during Ramadan. Well, in Ramadan, we have to fast from dawn to dusk and during the time lapse, we are not allowed to consume food of any type, doing malicious things and so on. Instead, we must do good deeds and pray and also fasting actually teaches us how those who doesn't have food live their lives.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri is celebrated during Syawal and families gather around and celebrate the holiday together. First morning of Syawal, we will go to the mosque for Aidilfitri prayers. After that, we will wear new and fancy raya clothes. Family members, typically the younger ones, will go to their parents and they will say things that they want to say to their parents. For the younger kids... you know what I'm talking about. Duit raya, duit raya, duit raya pom pom pom pom!
We will go back to our kampung and celebrate with the other family members. We will sit around, talk, eat, play various games and especially the main event, playing with sparkles and fireworks! Be careful, you don't want to injure yourself. The most anticipating event for me that I always waiting for but don't really happen to me but to other families is... family photo. Each year, family photos are taken (and I'm not in there -_-).
Well, that's the end of my blog. Don't ever forget to tune in next time!
