MERDEKA! MERDEKA! MERDEKA!   Today, 31st August 2018, marks the 61st Independence Day of Malaysia! Malaysia finally manage to get free from British Empire on 31st August 1957 and our first Prime Minister was Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra al-Haj. We know what is 'merdeka' but what does the word means to me besides freedom and so on?   Merdeka is generally defined as independent and freedom. It is derived from Sanskrit maharddhika which means rich, power and prosperous. In Malaysia archipelago, it simply means a freed slave.   What do I think when I first heard the word? Well, 'merdeka' is freedom, so I think the nation is free to voice out their thoughts and opinions to public eye, free to embrace any religion, free to move anywhere without getting controlled by the authorities and more. (Nope, this is not my holiday destination) (This is my real holiday 😂😂😂)   That's the harsh reality for me. Usually people will spend their holidays going trips with family but I am not that kind of person. First, I'm broke. Second, I rather be comfy and be in my own space.   Today, 11th August 2018, ICT-ton Carnival 2018 was held at SMK Damansara Jaya! Lots of people came to celebrate and I went there as well despite being a bit unwell. What happened there? Let's start.   Early in the morning. we took our attendance and numerous food trucks came to school. After the attendance were taken, we did a bit of exercise. The exercise routine was lead by a coach from a football club and seriously, I gave up since the beginning because I was too tired. Anyway, it was a bit easy so I do as much as I can without hurting myself. I didn't know this game existed after I heard that from a close acquaintance of mine and when I searched it, I regret instantly and the image is stuck in my head. It's haunting the hell out of me!   The sender will threaten the victims by wanting to hurt them and so on if they don't do what they are told to do. Basically, the victims are forced to do this kind of activity which is crazy and they end their lives by doing the last task: Committing suicide. My school had our annual Minggu Pusat Sumber, which is an event where the whole week the students get to learn and play games depends on what theme they had in the particular year. I like all the previous year themes which are Under the Sea, War, and Music. This year's theme really hyped me a lot because it is about Korea!   Time to wake up and go for academic day!   No! Not again!   My school organised Academic day one to twice a year and this year is my first year not going for Academic day. Well, I wanted to go but my parents are busy and I woke up late after watching Persona 5 late night. Don't judge me, it's my favourite anime video game.   So my dad knew what placing I got in class and he didn't get mad at me. He wants me to improve more in the future and everyone is quite shocked finding out that I'm the last in class because I didn't attend for one paper.   It's Raya again! Wow I waited for a whole year just to celebrate raya with my friends and family. My school had a Hari Raya Celebration and lots of amazing things happened on that day.   First of all, we get to wear our traditional clothes! I feel so relieved that I don't have to wear my school uniform for a day. So I wore my latest baju kurung for this year's Hari Raya celebration. I never feel so comfortable wearing it! When I came to school, everyone wore their traditional clothes and all of them look stunning.   We assembled at the hall and we get to watch a short skit showing about raya celebrations. When my favourite song that my family always play in the car, Balik Kampung by Dato' Sudirman played, everyone sang the chorus part because that's the only part we remember.   Ever since the 14th General Election was over, I noticed several changes that occurred in my country. There are quite a number of changes that occurred starting from 9th of May until today that I could see with my own two eyes.   One of the most obvious change that I can see is GST which was introduced by our former Prime Minister, Dato' Seru Najib Tun Razak, has been rated from 6% to 0%. GST is still present but we don't have to pay anything for GST. Some citizens think GST is burdensome and some people thinks it is useful. We just live it as it is. What matters now most of the daily necessities are cheaper.   Besides that, most of the cabinets consist of people with different races and religions. Now, almost everyone from different races can be the leaders of the future.   Hello everyone! I am back with another post with the most obvious title which makes people think that I am crazy or whatsoever. I have no other ideas for free posts so I decide to do this.   How do I rate myself based on my appearance from one to 10? I rate myself 6.5 because I look so average and I don't make an effort to dress like what girls supposed to wear. I am more to a person who prefers comfort than style and that's what make me... me. I even wear my pyjamas when I went out with my family without myself realising because it was in the morning and I woke up the last.   Consider about that, I have a little sense of shame.
